Heli Park Snow Terrain

Heli Park’s operational area is 380Ha of incredible backcountry terrain. It varies from steeps and tight chutes to wide open powder bowls, gullies and drop-offs. There’s terrain to suit everyone from first time powder riders to seasoned pros on photo shoots.

Mount Potts Lodge

Nestled at the base of the Southern Alps, Mt.Potts lodge enjoys fantastic scenery in New Zealand's famous High Country.

The lodge has a great relaxed atmosphere, fully licensed bar and casual dining in a beautiful setting. Meals consist of the freshest ingredients to provide genuine country style cooking, in portions to satisfy even the hungriest high country musterer.

Accommodation

Mt.Potts lodge has three kinds of accommodation, twin rooms, shared rooms and cottage.

The cottage is a self contained unit with bathroom, double bedroom and a twin bedroom. It can be adapted to sleep five if necessary. Tea and coffee is available at all times. Underfloor heating provides warmth. All linen and towels are provided. Lodge meals are included in the price of $149 per person per night.

The twin rooms are also underfloor heated and have a shared bathroom. All linen and bedding is provided and the rate includes dinner, bed and breakfast at the lodge. Twins are $119 per person per night.

The share rooms sleep up to 7 people. They are ideal for family groups, or friends. The rate is $109 per person per night, including a three course meal, and breakfast at the lodge. Underfloor heating provides warmth and all linen and bedding is supplied. Bathrooms are shared.

Ski and Snowboard Hire

For ski and snowboard hire we recommend Big Als in Methven. You can book your gear on line, and just hop off the shuttle bus on your way to Mount Potts to collect it.

Location

Mount Potts Lodge is only a 2-hour drive (180 Km) from Christchurch International Airport. Mount Potts is also one hour's drive (87 Km) from Methven off State highway 72, heading south. Turn off at Mt Somers village and follow the signs to Lake Clearwater. Keep driving through Lake Clearwater village for another 10 minutes and you'll arrive at Mount Potts Lodge. From the lodge the ski area is only accessed by helicopter. "Bookings are essential."

Shuttle Transport - Christchurch City to Mount Potts

A non-schedued Shuttle Service is available between Christchurch City and Mount Potts. The Shuttle can pick you up direct from Christchurch Airport or from your inner Christchurch City accommodation. The cost of this shuttle van transport is NZ$100.00 (one-way); per person. (Minimum shuttle numbers 3-people.)

Shuttle Transport - Methven to Mount Potts

Shuttle transfers are available between Methven and Mount Potts Lodge. This cost is NZ$60 per person - one way (Minimum shuttle numbers 2-people) and can be added to your holiday when booking.

Departure Time:

• From Methven: 5:30pm
• From Mount Potts: 8:30pm

NOTE: Non-scheduled shuttle transport between Christchurch City, Methven and Mount Potts; is also available.
